Rushby Brewster Associates Ltd is a private practice established in August 1992 providing independent
consultancy services in structural and civil engineering.
We have extensive experience in the design of a wide range of public and private sector developments
predominantly in the UK and including multi-storey office and apartment buildings, factories, warehouses, schools
and colleges, car parks, housing developments, leisure facilities, together with road and drainage schemes.
The Practice can provide a full range of services including feasibility studies, structural surveys and appraisals,
detailed design, preparation of tender and contract documentation and site inspections.
High-performance computer design facilities are contained within the office providing fully integrated structural
frame analysis and member design for all common construction materials. Computer aided draughting is carried
out using AutoCAD 2008 complemented by ‘Revit’ three dimensional drawing environment.
On 16th December 1998 the practice achieved recommendation for registration to BS EN ISO 9001 Quality
Standard and formal registration was confirmed on 8th January 1999. This has now been superseded, and the
practice achieved registration to the new ISO 9001 – 2000 on 28th April 2003.
In December 1999 the practice expanded to form a Limited Company comprising Allen Rushby and Stephen
Brewster as Directors and Anthea Todd as Company Secretary. Staffing levels, too, have been increased to
broaden both the scope of work and the ability to provide a fast, efficient service to Clients and Architects alike.
Early 2000 saw the practice move in to larger premises in Bishops Waltham, Hampshire and Rushby Brewster Associates
Ltd now occupies a prominent position within the town.
The continuing aim of the practice is to produce high quality building designs with
efficiency and economy to suit each client’s individual needs, and our effective quality
management system will ensure that the highest standards of design and technical
competence are maintained to achieve this aim.
More recently, involvement has been predominantly within the housing sector and in particular with many large
and locally prestigious schemes. Extensive involvement in many Housing Association projects has seen our Client
base grow.
